My husband Herm, and I were among the first 19 people in the building when it opened. We fell in love with Solana (formerly Avenida) as soon as we met Sadie, the Activities Director. The opportunities, location, warmth and community attracted us immediately. We thought long and hard before moving (this was our 9th move) and always thought that each home would be our forever place. Our apartment overlooking the pool, makes us feel like we are living in the best resort and enjoy the sounds of talking/laughter of neighbors in aerobic classes, at the firepit or cooking dinner at the grill. The staff is open and most accommodating. After my husband passed, my neighbors took me under their wing to help and care for me when needed. I love having the Salon right at my fingertips and my nails have never looked so good. The monthly calendar is full of events and there is something for everyone from physical and mental classes, trips, Happy Hours, guest presenters, films, and discussion groups. I find that people here tend to be open, positive, welcoming, inclusive and above all, I have made life long friendships here at Solana.

Solana Lakewood is not an apartment building, it is a warm, friendly community! Sadie, our Engagement Director, designs events, classes, social events, trips, parties, runs movies, and so much more. There is truly something for everyone. Our management team cares about the residents and is very approachable. The building itself is beautiful! The heated pool is both a gathering place and the best exercise for active seniors like me. I also love the varied exercise classes and the gym. Breakfast in the stunning Great Room with its fireplace is such a great way to start the day with coffee and conversation with friends. The parties, Happy Hours, and concerts are so much fun. Solana is the "just right" place to meet people, have an active life style, and be actively engaged in your best life.

Solana Lakewood is not an apartment building, it is a community...a community of friends, a staff who truly cares, and activities to suit anyone's & everyone's interests and abilities. The building is beautifully decorated, warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and the heated pool is both a gathering place and the best exercise for active seniors like me. The parties, games, social activities, art classes, movies, and ambience make it the "Just Right" 55 Plus building anywhere. Sadie, the Activities Director, excels at designing events I love and giving me a chance to socialize and make friends. Our management is engaged with residents and very approachable. Morning breakfast is the perfect opportunity to greet buddies and share a coffee and conversation. Solana deserves a 5 Star rating on so many levels!

I have lived here for 2 years and since new staff and owners took over I am amazed what they have done in regard to the safety and comfort here .Everyone is so friendly it feels like we are one big happy family. We have so many different activities thanks to Sadie that there is something to do every day. It's a great place to call home.

It is with gratitude that I describe what a wonderful transition it has been for my mom to move to Solana. The activities are sensational, the residents genuinely kind and fun, and the staff (especially Sadie) professional, helpful and friendly. Thank you for Solana for making this an easy choice!!

When I was looking for an apartment I wanted some place where I could be as active as I wished and have a nice apartment with up to date appliances and a thriving community. I certainly found that at Solana. Take a trip with me through a one of my typical days. It starts with a 30 minute walk outside with a friend (in the winter the halls make a warm place to walk). This is followed with a breakfast that usually last an hour or more because there is always a group that likes to laugh and talk. The rest of the day includes at least one card game (just about any kind you want), at least one exercise class, an art class, or any of the many special activities that are planned. Sometimes I do take time to be in my apartment to do things like laundry (washer and dryer in your apartment) or cooking and cleaning. I've been at Solana just over a year and have enjoyed each and every day.

When my husband and I first looked at these apartments we loved the openness, wide halls and tall ceilings. We've lived here over 18 months and what started out as just a very nice place to live, has turned into a wonderful community of caring friendly people. There are tons of activities and always something to do if you want to get involved. Sadie, our activities director, is the "heartbeat" of our community.

I moved in Jan of 2022 from Cincinnati and attended a Champagne tasting with my son! When I visited, I was impressed the minute I walked in the door. The staff and residents are very friendly and easy to be around. I have made so many friends. And I love my apartment - it’s adorable and so cozy.

In my first year at Solana Lakewood, I have found a home with plenty of friendly people. The calendar for each day of the week is packed activities that would seem to suit the interests of just about everyone. I have found management and maintenance staff to be prompt with their responses to my questions and concerns. When I signed a lease in spring, 2022, I wasn't sure I'd want to stay for more than a year, but it was easy for me to say 'yes' to staying another year. There's a lot to like about living here!

My experience in apartments for seniors hasn’t always been great but I finally hit the jackpot! My apartment is great for me. The people (young and old) are my family. My family loves my apartment and is satisfied that I am happy. Everyone is friendly, caring, and always helpful. I feel so lucky to be a member of this big, loving community with neighbors who are always eager to share their lives, where they lived and worked. The staff is always ready to help with our needs. I would like to remain in my apartment forever! I would give Solana 10 stars if it were possible. Solana is the greatest. Cathy & Joey
